MEET OUR MENTORS
Central Valley Scholars understands how important it is for students to see their own identities in prestigious universities. With this in mind, we have created a Get Connected document that shares the different stories and experiences of our mentors. Our mentors come from all racial backgrounds, gender identities, sexualities, documentation status, and more. Under each photo, you will find the mentor's contact information which is open for you to use!

Somos Familia was founded by two moms from the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area) with Latino gay and bisexual sons in 2007 to reach out to other families. With an all-volunteer group of different generations, we established the following mission and vision. Somos Familia builds leadership in our Latinx families and communities to create a culture where people of diverse genders and sexual orientations can thrive.
