About The Event

Queer in The Valley is a celebration of people in the Central Valley who identify as Queer, Trans, and Black, Indigenous, People of Color (QTBIPOC). The event is free to the community, and will include guest speakers, an open mic to share stories and poetry, an art gallery featuring local art by Tony De Carlo, Francisco Rodriguez, Andrea Torres, Casimiro Llamas, Shaq Michele, and Xico Garza; and a live musical performance by local Queer band Fatty Cakes & The Puff Pastries.

This event is designed to advocate for more QTBIPOC spaces in the Central Valley, and to showcase the beauty and advocacy that emerges when we fund and input resources into the hands of the Queer community. Following COVID-19 safety precautions, all guest must be fully vaccinated to attend and are required to wear a face mask throughout the event.
